Whitefield Art Collective's Young Artists Program brought together over 250 students from local and international schools across Bangalore on 13th April 2024. The Young Artists Program is aimed at uncovering and nurturing the natural talents of young artists. The program gives students the necessary platform to display their creative and artistic abilities. It also allows students to express themselves and supports their innovative ideas demonstrated through art.
VR Bengaluru hosted the International Rubik's Cube Competition in collaboration with Speed Cubing Bangalore and The Cube Store. Over 200 enthusiastic children actively participated, showcasing their skills and intellect at the Ground Floor Atrium. This event highlighted our dedication to promoting intellectual development and providing enriching experiences for our community's youth.
We had a blast celebrating love this Valentine’s week. We set up a special photo booth where couples and families could capture their love together. Visitors shared their photos on social media for a chance to win exciting offers. Laughter, smiles and cherished memories made this week unforgettable, bringing everyone together in the spirit of romance and connection.
We were swept off our feet by magical performances by some of the city's best choirs at the 7th Annual #ChoirCompetition on 15th Dec 2023. The first prize and the coveted #RollingTrophy goes to the # St. Gregorious Orthodox Cathedral Choir group, They will also be able to donate Rs. 25,000 to an NGO of their choosing.
"St. Gregorios Orthodox Cathedral Choir is the choir group of St Gregorios Orthodox Cathedral, Hosur Road and has a long history and reputation of being one of the finest choir groups in Bangalore. This choir is known for composing their own Christmas compositions in Malayalam and performing in various venues since 23 years. Some of these compositions have been adopted and performed by choirs world-wide.
The choir will be presenting a Malayalam song - “Tharattin Eenam”, Written and composed by Mr Anish Bruce from the choir and music arranged by Jinu George.
The second choral piece is an English 4-part harmony, “Angels Carol” composed by the English composer and conductor John Rutter published by the Oxford University Press.

Whitefield Art Collective's Art Bazaar was the abundance of everything art, with diverse artists, small enterprises, and local artisans of the Broke Artist Collective from Bangalore exhibiting their independent initiatives. The nine-day art bazaar lasted from 4th March to 12th March 2023 at VR Bengaluru. The artisans at the Art Bazaar offered a range of products including home décor, framed artwork, postcards, handcrafted jewellery, local souvenirs, antique pieces, live painting stations, and more. Over 30 handicraftsmen, artists, and artisans engaged in this edition of Whitefield Art Collective's Art Bazaar.
Whitefield Art Collective's Art Cinema brought together movie lovers from across the city on 2nd March. It celebrated the Oscar-winning absurdist comedy-drama movie - "Everything Everywhere All at Once". The movie shows how balance can be found when we care about the people and things around us - echoing the theme of the Whitefield Art Collective -"A Fine Balance". It ensures that the audience feels every emotion "all at once" making it the perfect pick for Art Cinema. PVR was one of the collaborator's for Whitefield Art Collective's Art Cinema and the movie was streamed in their Gold auditorium.

Whitefield Art Collective 2023 encourages creative explorations around the theme of "A Fine Balance", through partnerships with leading institutions and notable individuals from the city's artistic community.
Over 50 art installations, sculptures, paintings, and photographs are displayed at the festival. Collaborators this year include JD Institute of Fashion Technology, JD School of Design, ArtFlute, Synesthesia Collective, and Broke Artists Collective. Renowned artists displaying their work this year comprise Gita Hudson, Yusuf Arakkal, Maria Antony Raj, Saravana D, Ezhilarasan Ezhumale, and Nithin Sadhu.
The festival commenced with the unveiling of the 'Art Car', painted by The Geechulagalu Collective, followed by "Wearable Art" - a Fashion Showcase by JD Institute of Fashion Technology, and culminated with a viewing of 'A Fine Balance' - 2023 Art Exhibit.

It’s curtains up on the fifth edition of #WhitefieldArtCollective. Celebrated artist Bose Krishnamachari, President, Kochi Biennale Foundation, flagged off the month-long public art festival on February 7 by unveiling the VR Art Car, painted this year by the Bengaluru-based art collective Aravani Art Project.
Bose Krishnamachari then joined the curator Sumi Gupta for a special Fireside Chat to discuss the significance of this year’s theme - Sustainability.

The fifth edition of the Whitefield Art Collective got off to a memorable start on February 7. The celebrations culminated with a special cocktail party at Alt Rooftop Bar and Lounge which was attended by the who’s who of Bengaluru’s art community.
The theme for Whitefield Art Collective is sustainability, and the students of JD Institute of Fashion Technology put on a spectacular show featuring designs that were ecologically responsible and used alternative textiles. VR Bengaluru celebrated the Gourmet Coffee Day on Jan 18th with Coffee tasting and appreciation workshop at the centre’s 4 coffee outlets - Blue Tokai, Café Noir, Starbucks and Café Coffee Day. The guests attending the workshop learnt a lot about the various coffee brews, plantations and bean quality offered by these brands from the Coffee expert from Brownbean Artistry. It was definitely a treat tasting various kinds of coffee offered by the brands over the weekend with some great conversation.

Whitefield Christmas celebrations kicked it up a notch with the Choir Competition 2019! City’s finest choirs battled it out at the Fourth Annual Choir Competition for the rolling trophy.
VR Bengaluru partnered with Expat Life India and hosted over 300 children and 40 volunteers on Dec 22nd at their centre. The children were treated with a fun filled day which was made possible by some of our sponsor brands like Mad Over Donuts, Sri Venkateshwara Tiffin and The Whitefield Arms.
The children enjoyed watching Lion King that was specially screened for them, delicious meal sponsored by our brands and exciting activities followed by gift distribution. It was a great experience seeing them open their presents and having their wishes come true.
This was the season finale of Salon with Shree, where, author Sreemoyee Piu Kundu hosted a great set of panellists for a power-packed discussion celebrating stories of hope.

VR Bengaluru kickstarted the Christmas celebrations at the centre with the Tree Lighting ceremony. The festive season was welcomed with eggnogs and plum cakes that were served to everyone present at the ceremony; children and adults interacted with Santa. There was also live Piano performance along with Carol singers to keep the crowd entertained.
This November, on the International Men’s Week, the Whitefield Literary Society hosted the fifth edition of Salon with Shree. Renowned author Sreemoyee Piu Kundu was back with a new discussion theme on Re-imagining Masculinity in an age of Feminism, in conversation with 5 powerful men who have made an indelible mark on society.

VR Bengaluru hosted VR Lil Champs - Children’s Day event on Nov 16th & 17th with lots of fun, laughter and creativity. The event had fun workshops which taught children how to make Superhero Masks, Fairy wands and Magnetic Frames. In addition to workshops, the event had fun activity zones for Face painting, Pottery and Photobooth; Drawing & Duo Walk fashion show competition was conducted and it witnessed Close to 400 participants.
It was a great 2 day event where children and parents had a fantastic time together.
VR Bengaluru celebrated Karnataka Rajyotsava for 3 long days with a lot of grandeur, as musical geniuses Raghu Dixit and Swarathama performed together for the first time. To add to the festivities, Kannada stand-up comedy group ‘Lol Bagh’ did an Improv act where the crowd went hysterical laughing.
